The North Room offers an intimate, produce-driven dining experience in the heart of Mermaid Beach opened in 2017, with the direct intention to feel personal and immersive. With only 20 seats, the restaurant is designed allowing guests to slow down and enjoy the craft behind each dish.
We offer a tasting-menu–only experience: a long menu at dinner; and the choice of either a short or long menu at lunch. This approach allows our chefs to cook with purpose, shaping each course around the produce of the seasons and the relationships we’ve built with local growers and producers. Paired with a curated wine list and warm, attentive service, The North Room invites diners to enjoy a quiet, elevated moment—where attention to detail guides everything we do.

Matching wines are available for diners on both menus, however we also have a fully curated beverage list for those who prefer to choose their own. Please note - NO BYO.

All bookings before 630pm will required to dine within 2 hours to accommodate for later bookings, should you require more time please speak with our team in advance. Maximum group size is 6 guests. All groups over 6 guests will require exclusive use of the event with a minimum spend, should you like to book an event or group please email us directly.

The North Room is open for dinner Thursday through Saturday, serving our long tasting menu, and for lunch on Fridays and Saturdays, where guests may choose between a short or long menu. We are pleased to cater for most dietary requirements with advance notice, though we are unable to offer a vegan menu. As our space is compact and designed for a calm dining experience, we unfortunately cannot accommodate prams and do not offer high chairs.
